OUR LEADERS

Bishop John C. McClurkin Sr. & First Lady Shelia McClurkin

Bishop John C. McClurkin is a man of boundless wisdom and knowledge. He is an apostle of finance and a blessing to the people of God. He is described as a man of integrity, honesty, courage, conviction, principle, compassion, vision, purpose, and mission. Most of all Bishop McClurkin is a true servant of the Lord, a covenant partner with God and the people of God to fulfill is assignment in the earth.

Bishop McClurkin was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ in 1975 and was appointed Pastor of GFDC (then called Greater Faith Chapel) by the late Bishop L.B. Davenport. In addition to the pastorate, he has served as the Greater North Carolina Jurisdiction (GNCJ) Sunday School Superintendent, State Building Fund Chairman, and is currently serving as the Building Superintendent for the GNCJ State Temple, High Point District Superintendent, and First Assistant to the Bishop.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

The Affirmation of Faith

Our Belief About the Bible
We believe the Bible to the inspired and only infallible Word of God.

Our Belief Concerning God
We believe that there is one God, eternally existant in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Our Belief Concerning the Church
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.

Our Belief Concerning Salvation
We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

Our Belief Concerning Christ
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

Our Belief Concerning the Holy Ghost
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.

Our Belief Concerning Sanctification
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world.
